Canon

Description

As a child, Canon's father, the former king of Saguaro Kingdom, died from an illness when Canon was young, which caused Canon to take the throne at a young age. Canon grew up to be what the kingdom considers the best king Saguaro Kingdom has ever had. He cares about his people like a family and does anything he can to make their lives easier. He is someone that doesn't like to sit still and is always out and about in Saguaro Village, helping anyone he can with chores or just playing sports with the children.

Saguaro Village has been peaceful for the longest time that the knights have forgotten how important it was to be on guard. One day, a mysterious child witch invaded Saguaro Village with her corrupted animals that are forced to do as she says. The animals infected the entire village, and the Saguaro Knights lost the battle. Canon fought his hardest in the war, and was the only one left standing by the end of it, along with his royal guard, Yucca. Yucca uses himself as a distraction to the witch, even if Canon told him not to. He wanted to give Canon a chance to escape and make it out alive, as it is his number one job to do. Once the witch is distracted, Canon makes a run for it in an unknown direction. He turns to look for a second to see Yucca has been infected by the witch as well, and the scene of the Fall of Saguaro. Canon runs until he finds himself in Snowblind Kingdom territory, a neighboring nation. from now on, Canon's mission is to find the witch that destroyed his home in order to stop further destruction and avenge his people.

Important Relationships

Marmalade

Marmalade was the first person Canon met after running away from the war. They met when Marmalade happened to enter the cave he was staying in for the night near a bonfire. Once they both realized they were both friendly towards each other, they decide to team up to survive together. Canon tells her what had happened to Saguaro village too.

They have a big brother, little sister, and teacher, student type of relationship. Canon teaches her how to sword fight along with some survival skills. Canon always puts hers, and the rest of the children of their group's safety before his own. If she can't handle a fight, he will always be there to take over. He often has to deal with many mistakes she makes from her inexperience in the outside world, but it makes him laugh.

Clementine

At first, because of how young Clementine is, Canon woukd prohibit her from coming to his and Marmalade's adventures. After she proved her unusual strength that is on par with Canon's (however, he has more skill), he was convinced that she had potential and is able to defend herself on their journey instead of putting herself in danger. Just like with Marmalade, he will always jump in to protect her if there's ever anything she can't do, but that is not often since she's all good most of the time. He gets worried for her sometimes as her curiosity can get her and Simon into trouble often.

Simon

Canon rescued Simon while he was being kidnapped by goblins and being taken on the way to Kuun Kingdom. Simon has been living with the main gang ever since because his original home was destroyed and also very far away. Canon treats him as if he is his own son and is more strict with him than any of the other kid, but that's because Simon is inexperienced when it comes to fighting and protecting himself, and is also young. Canon knows what its like to take on so much responsibility at a young age, and doesn't want Simon to feel the way he did.

Bradley

Canon is not that close to Bradley, but he enjoys watching the interactions between Bradley and Marmalade. He is forever thankful to Bradley that he allowed him and Marmalade a place to stay.

Judith

Judith is the only other adult in the group, so Canon feels as he can talk to her about things he can't with the kids. He thinks of her as a good friend he can rely on. They often like to practice their fighting with each other, especially since they are the two that can actually give each other a challenge.

Chimalli

Canon is not that close to Chimalli since Chimalli is shy, but cares for him the same as the other kids.

Yucca

Yucca was Canon's appointed knight, but also his best friend. They were almost always together since Yucca's job was to protect him at all costs. Sometimes Canon would overwork himself, and Yucca was the one to remind him to take breaks or when it was time to return to the palace for dinner. Yucca provided a lot of support for Canon for anything he needed, even if Canon didn't know he needed it.
